John Deere 7400/8800 caster wheels annoyance

Plastic caster wheel seals tend to pop out easily when greasing. Just a bit annoying and lets in water and dirt. The 7400 front casters are not as bad where there isn't much room for them to pop. The 8800 mower will blow them out if your not careful. I do this to resolve this issue. Easy and cheap.

Front deck caster wheel

This size screw works great. Long enough to get a good bit to push plastic trapping seal in .

I put 4 in. Only takes a minute. Be careful not to hit race.

While it's all apart I'll weld in wear areas.

Even the yoke shafts. JB weld out to smooth out  after welds are ground down to fit .

Not bad for a 2015 and 1940 hard hours on her. It's the beater machine that also does cart path edges on the wooded side of course .

Check the rear rollers for wear and had to retube only one this time .

All new deck HOC mount bushings.
