Toro 5800 pump change to HYPRO D115 3 Diaphragm pump revisited after one season

Bobs Shop: Toro 5800 pump change to HYPRO D115 3 Diaphragm pump (golfcoursemechanics.blogspot.com)

Update after we put a full spray season on pump upgrade.

I'm again saying that most people are not having issues with their Hardi pumps.

For us guys/gals that are this is 100 % the fix.

Inspection of pump heads and installing diaphragm kit.

draining the oil out

Pulled hoses off pump

The instructions were a little vague. I took apart more than I had to. Remove the 3 nuts facing you on heads and remove front section with valves then take heads off.

I have been waiting all season to check out this pump. all parts look like they just came off an assembly line. clean no wear or scratches. (We have not changed what and how we mix products compared to previous years)

All three heads have zero markings or wear. Diaphragms had a little wear.

The damper has some wear as per normal, change yearly. I keep the old one for a spare.

Reassembling. torquing them down to spec.

They look by directional, but it has an oil and fluid side for install

Had a little fun making sure all 6 new O rings stayed in place

All 6 valves were clean and working properly

Just the damper left. 15 psi air or half your spray pressure

New oil and hoses back on.

Ready for another season.

Hours work next change out.

So glad it worked out for us.
